In the high-octane world of mixed martial arts, rivalries often emerge that captivate fans and add an extra layer of excitement to upcoming fights. One such rivalry that has been simmering in the MMA community even after the two faced off for the second time, is between Suga Sean O’Malley and Marlon “Chito” Vera.

Suga Sean took to his podcast this past Monday, the ‘The Timbo Sugar Show’ to sound off on Chito Vera and how he has handled the rematch, losing a one sided, unanimous decision.

Talking with his trainer, Tim Welch, Sean stated:

“It was funny.. I don’t get it, I don’t get the whole chito thing Everyone seems to love [Chito], that mother f***er is a fake a** b***h. Chito sucks. I know sh** that people don’t know that would change their minds on him. But I’m not gonna go out there and post it.”

“The DM shit was real, I was in his fucking head, I was his brain, I was thinking for him and people are like.. “oooo..uhhh.. family”.. Fuck that guy, bro. Then he comes out and says I had grease in my hair, bro didn’t get close enough to smell my hair let alone.. what.. what’s grease in my hair gonna do?”

Tim: “Yeah, it does get annoying because, all the stuff they do put on there [embedded].. it’s just like “Woah.. he’s just this, genuine family man.” it’s like, if they knew the shit we knew it would be it be a little bit different, but that’s what’s a little bit annoying about it. For sure.

Sean ended the segment with this statement:

“Oh god.. I wanted, I wanted to.. I’m like, be the bigger man, don’t you don’t need to ruin his f*cking life, you already ended his career. Just f*cking be the bigger man.”

Extremely strong words, seemingly implying he has information or proof that Chito isn’t the person who comes across so well in the UFC embedded series and his own social media.

Suga Sean O’Malley, with his flashy fighting style and charismatic personality, quickly became a fan favorite in the UFC’s bantamweight division. With an impressive undefeated record and highlight-reel knockouts, O’Malley’s rise to prominence was swift and undeniable. However, his momentum hit a snag when he faced Marlon “Chito” Vera in a highly anticipated bout.

Marlon Vera, a seasoned UFC veteran known for his toughness and tenacity, saw the O’Malley fight as an opportunity to make a statement and catapult himself into title contention. The two clashed in the Octagon at UFC 252 in August 2020, in a bout that was expected to be a barnburner.

However, the fight took a controversial turn when O’Malley suffered a leg injury early in the first round, forcing him to retire from the fight. While Vera was declared the winner by TKO due to the injury (and follow up ground and pound, many fans and pundits questioned the legitimacy of the victory, sparking heated debates and fueling animosity between the two fighters.

Chito lost the highly anticipated rematch earlier this month at UFC 299, with Sean taking a unanimous decision after completely dominating the fight. Chito went onto social media after claiming Sean felt ‘greased up’ and made several excuses for how the fight went down, leading to Sean’s anger about these allegations.

What do you think about what Sean had to say?
